WEDDING CEREMONIES

It’s your day. Let it reflect who you are as a couple.

Your wedding ceremony is a meaningful and unique experience for your and your guests. That’s why you want a professional officiant who brings calm, energy & a ton of experience.

You need an officiant who will listen to your deepest dreams and desires — an officiant who will also be your fiercest advocate leading up to and on the day of your wedding.

Sounds too good to be true? It’s not! I’m Hope Mirlis, a NYC-based Wedding Officiant and Premarital Counselor who guides couples from the “Yes!” to the “I do.” Are you looking for an excellent listener and someone who can create a ceremony you adore (even before you know exactly what you want?) Let’s talk!

The look, sound, and feel of your ceremony doesn’t just set the tone for the day - it has a lasting impact. That’s why I draw upon my theatre and public speaking experience to help you create a ceremony that’s uniquely you. If a highly choreographed procession is what you want, I got you covered. If you need assistance with your vows or reading selections, just say the word. Or if you’re dreaming of getting married on a secluded hotel rooftop and want a ceremony to match, let’s do it!

I am based in Manhattan, however I regularly do weddings in Brooklyn, Long Island, Westchester, the Hudson Valley, New Jersey and beyond. Needless to say, I am more than happy to travel wherever your celebration may be around the globe.

My Approach

I approach the ceremony from a secular/non-denominational place. I truly consider your union the foundation for the wedding ceremony. The ceremony can be as traditional or untraditional as you’d like. Together, we will discuss mood and style, the rituals you want and potential inclusion of family and friends. We can then add in any cultural or religious traditions, if you have them. We will work largely through email or Google Docs to finalize the ceremony.

2026 Elopements & Vow Renewals (those ceremonies with under 20 guests) range from $650 to 1095, with most couples opting for the $800 package.

Larger weddings range from $1095 to $1600, with most couple choosing the $1495 package.

Fees are determined by the intricacy of your ceremony, your guest count and location. Let’s discuss how I can help you create a vision for your ceremony and perform it with ease and grace. I’m happy to talk through what your ceremony can look like. Everything is customizable!

Ceremony Consultations

It has long been a trend for couples to ask friends or family members to officiate their weddings. I get it. It’s cost effective and potentially more personal. Heck, I even became a wedding officiant to marry a friend. While it’s an exciting challenge for a friend or a family member, it can be daunting. Let me help your friend or family member capitalize on their personality to create a great ceremony. I will also guide them on speaking with confidence and handling all of the legal and administrative issues with ease. This is done in 2 sessions. One to explain how the ceremony works, and the second to review what was written. (I can also work directly with you - the couple - to write your ceremony and pass it off to your officiant.)

“Saturday was truly the best day ever and working with you was absolutely wonderful! We received numerous compliments from our guests on your ceremony and how connected you were with us. We also LOVED the part about our guests ‘unplugging’ for a bit during the ceremony, I think it made it that much more special.”
