Vendors I Love: CHRISTINE VIOLA & EAP WEDDINGS

I first worked with Christine at the Brooklyn Winery 5 years ago. While I worked with her colleague Tara 2 years ago, it's been a bit since I've collaborated with the EAP Weddings team.

I reconnected with Christine at a wedding at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens recently and I completely forgot how devilishly funny she is. She's genuine, she takes charge and her sense of humor certainly keeps everyone present and in the moment. It is such a welcome complement to the work I do. I am honored to introduce you to CHRISTINE VIOLA!

What was the path that led you to become a planner?

Honestly, it wasn't a path I chose; it was one that my friends and family "pushed" me towards. I was working for a top tier investment bank, and after planning so many events for those I loved, there was encouragement to "try it." So, I did...and it's been 13 years!

What excites you about weddings?

Seeing it all come together so flawlessly. So much time is spent planning and anticipating what could but hopefully not go wrong; but when all the elements of a wedding all come together perfectly, there is nothing more exciting or rewarding.

What do you look for in a couple?

Their chemistry with each other, and how they take to my (most of the time) sarcastic humor. If they "get" my sarcastic humor, we're perfect for each other and I know that the process working together will be a fun one.

What is the greatest compliment you’ve ever received?

That everything (appeared) to have gone perfectly...which means things might have not gone so perfectly behind the scenes. But we - me and my team - were there to fix it, without the couple and their guests knowing otherwise!

What do you desire for your business?

That I don't get tired of it, or feel forced to continue doing it...

What are you grateful for?

The amount of support I've received from family and friends, and now friendors (vendors that I call true friends). Any time I feel insecure about something, they're right there to help bring me back up.

Any recent cause for celebration?

Everyday we continue to be in business is a cause of celebration!
