Why Practice Yoga Before Your Wedding

It’s such an honor to be part of a couple’s Big Day and one of my favorite ways start the morning is with a wedding yoga practice! I believe that your day is all about connecting – connecting to your future partner and your family and friends. However, it’s also a beautiful way to ground yourself and connect back to your personal yoga practice. I create a custom class for you and your wedding party that is light hearted, soothing and nurturing and again totally for you!

YOGA REDUCES STRESS

There have been tons of studies over the years - including this one written about in the International Journal of Preventive Medicine. But it’s clear that yoga is an effective tool to reduce stress, anxiety and depression. There is also a heightened the sense of relaxation with a smooth slow flow that’s tailored to you, your partner and your bridal party.

YOGA BOOSTS YOUR HAPPINESS

The wedding day is one of the happiest days of your life. Unfortunately, too many brides get caught up in all the little details and family drama to enjoy their wedding. Yoga can help with that. It clears your mind, decreases anxiety and promotes a sense of positive energy.

YOGA ENCOURAGES BEING PRESENT

Yogic breath and movement will help slow down that racing mind of yours. Enjoy the special moment, each glance, each smile and truly embrace your special day. A wedding yoga session will help to unwind the mind and move with grace and ease.

YOGA IMPROVES POSTURE AND ALIGNMENT

A pre-wedding yoga class will help you to stand tall after releasing some weight off your shoulders and finding length in the spine. Feel and look good in your photos by gently supporting your posture and alignment.

YOGA ADDS A GLOW TO THE SKIN

Yoga increases your circulation, in turn, this gives you that gorgeous glow that all brides and grooms seek in those facial appointments.

YOGA BALANCES YOUR EMOTIONS

I’ve seen tears, laughter and silliness in my wedding yoga classes. You may be surprised at how much yoga can settle your emotions before the big day. Embrace the joy, balance the excitement and release the nerves!
