I had the honor of working with Alex last Summer. It was my first out of town wedding, and the highlight video Alex and his editor created captured the true essence of the couple! Alex was even kind enough to offer me a copy of just the ceremony, so I have it for my potential couples. So generous and talented! Gosh, I love this community!
Without further ado, I introduce Alex and New York Wedding Films!
What was the path that led you to become a videographer?
Back in 1999, I was an out of college military journalist writing news reports about army events. At the time I received routine trainings for operating broadcast cameras, and discovered the whole new world of video journalism. For next two years, I filmed more and more reports and eventually transitioned to full-time camera person position.
What excites you about weddings?
What excites me the most about weddings is the pure overwhelming energy of something very special wrapping around the couple and spreading its vibes to all guests and attendants. Energy that has power to bring up an elegant gentlemen out of goofy cousin "Joe" and give him goosebumps and make his eyes wet while listening to vows or making a toast. That kind of energy. When family members and friends share unconditional love and happiness in a momentum.
I usually go home after wedding feeling tired but in the same time boosted with pure positive vibes. And it positively reflects to my own personal life.
What do you look for in a couple?
Confidence, connection and unity. You can't fake it and you can't hide it.
What is the greatest compliment you’ve ever received?
It's hard for me to point at a single compliment. Here are some recent ones:
“We just watched all the videos! They came out AMAZING! Thank you so much for everything. We know we’ll have these for a lifetime, and appreciate all your hard work and dedication.”
“Holy sh*t it’s amazing!!! We are just in awe. You guys did such an awesome job. Thank you so so much!!! We have watched the video over and over and can’t stop crying and laughing. You nailed it!”

What do you desire for your business?
To work with more amazing couples around the country and combine our passion for making documentary wedding films with traveling.
What are you grateful for?
For my two amazing boys (ages 4 and 12) and my beautiful girlfriend (mother of my youngest child) who always inspires me and rolls her eyes behind my back :)
Any recent cause for celebration?
Celebrating life every day and enjoying presence of beloved people I am surrounded with. Also looking forward for my own wedding (nothing certain yet, but who knows…).
