Grumpy Old Gratitudes

curmudgeon
So I've apparently turned into a curmudgeon. I had a grumpy response for at least 3 people on the train on my way to see Gravity. I think they were "Keep moving on the stairs," "Look up!" to the woman who almost crashed into me while looking at her phone and I think I said something to the out of town couple who were blocking my path.

Anyway, I am aware of my excessive yelling to the proverbial kids on my lawn, but it's got to stop. I live in the world with everyone else, so I need to adapt. While it would be nice if everyone was aware of their surroundings, it's not gonna happen. So I could either shake my fist for everyone to follow the rules or I could let things slide. The best way I know how to counteract is to count my blessings. And hey, it's Friday. Time for some gratitudes, celebrations and a list of stuff to be done!

GRATITUDES:
1. Five, count 'em 5, lovely ladies joining me in my fitness challenge
2. matinee movies
3. the postal worker who tried to help me find my missing package
4. being relatively healthy - and receiving a clean bill of health from my last doctor's visit
5. my lovely friend, Angela for sending me a copy of The Desire Map Daily Planner

CELEBRATIONS:
1. Not giving up. In a webinar a wedding vendor encouraged 7 points of contact with potential clients. He said that most people stop after 2 or 3. I immediately paused the recording and emailed two couples I had not heard from since October. One of the grooms responded within minutes and asked to schedule a meeting! So that's now 5 pending for 2014
2. Finding a reliable person to house and kitty sit when I visit my parents next month

THINGS TO DO:
This list is still daunting. I need to tick things off one by one.
1. Figure out realistic health care options
2. Clean apartment
3. De-clutter and dispose
4. Find another travel buddy
5. Find an alternative side job to supplement my business

Whew. I feel better already!
